Willows Beach

Willow's Beach in Oak Bay is a delightful place to visit on a sunny day whether Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter. There is half a mile of sandy beach in a quiet residential neighbourhood plus a playground and a grassy area.

The large playground with equipment for all ages and abilities. The playground and grassy area can get pretty crowded during the summer as many daycare groups and summer camps use this spot as a day trip.

The beach at Willows Park is a beautiful sandy beach with stunning views. There is lots of driftwood for leaning against and sitting on and this beach rarely gets overcrowded. It has a fair bit shallow water great for young children.

During the warmer months, a concession stand managed by the local rotary club ensures that you can enjoy a picnic even if you don't bring your own. Every year a visiting fun fair is set-up on the grass field as part of the annual Oak Bay Tea Party, a community-run event which draws crowds from the whole greater Victoria area.

On a clear day, it's even easy to peer across the Haro Strait and see Mount Baker in Washington State in all its snow-capped glory.

Willow's Park Beach is an off-leash area for dogs between October 1st and April 30th.
