Mount Douglas Park

Trails, beach and playground can all be found in this large, forested park.

Mount Douglas Park is a forested, urban park located in Saanich. It has a large network of hiking trails, a beach and a playground. It is known as 'Mount Doug' to the locals.

There are a large number of hiking trails throughout the park. A map of the trails and habitat zones can be found here. Visitors can access the viewpoint at the top of Mount Douglas by car via Churchill Drive. Churchill drive is closed to car traffic 7 days a week from 7 am - 12 pm to allow for pedestrians and cyclists to access it without interference. It opens to car traffic at noon each day.

There is a playground next to the day use parking off of Cordova Bay Road. The beach is also easily accessed from this day use parking area.

Mount Douglas park has varied and fragile ecosystems within its borders. It is a fantastic way to connect with nature just minutes from the city.
